We're in a time right now where many companies are fighting for the same candidates. That's why it's a good idea for your company to stand out with a different recruitment process. Below we list six tips to shake up your recruitment process when recruiting managers or recruiting new employees.

When recruiting new employees for your company, it's important that you can "sell" your company to the best candidates on the market. You need to target your recruitment to the type of employee you are looking for, such as a new manager or receptionist. What all new employees have in common, however, is that they want to join a company they can see themselves working for. This includes considerations such as the company's employee handbook, the employee's sense of purpose, benefits, social events and more .

Six tips for recruiting employees

1. Out with the old and in with the new

The most conventional way to recruit new employees is to post a job ad. And conventional solutions are useless when we're trying to stand out. Use other methods to draw attention to your company and what you have to offer.

2. Walk up to the person next to you

One method could be to look in-house first. If you're looking for a new employee, you can spread the word within the company to relevant employees who can then reach out to their network.

3. Time is not free

If you ask an employee to play job consultant for an afternoon, it would be most appropriate to give them a bonus if they find a new employee for the company.

4. Take a chance on me

It's normal procedure for companies to look for specific qualifications and skills, and while this can be a great idea, it can also often be a hindrance to an otherwise obvious candidate. So don't be afraid to interview candidates who don't necessarily meet all the requirements, but who have great potential for development.

5. It takes two to tango

When you call a potential candidate for an interview, remember that they are assessing you and your company on an equal footing. Therefore, be clear about the strengths you want to sell the job and the company on so that you put yourself in the driver's seat for the potential candidate.

6. Know your values like the back of your hand

You and your company should have values that speak the same language. That's why it's important that when you sit in a job interview with a candidate, you can be crystal clear about the company's values. That way, you'll stand out from the crowd.

Here are six tips for thinking outside the box when you start recruiting employees - and just one last one to go home on.

Online recruitment

At the height of the coronavirus pandemic in Denmark and the rest of the world, many companies were forced to use online recruitment to find new employees. This is a method that your company can use when recruiting new employees. It doesn't have to be a hindrance to take the initial job interview online.

Employee recruitment needs to be dusted off

We hope the above has given you and your company the courage to shake things up and dust off the 'recruiting employees' folder to stand out from the crowd.
